Nehemiah had a big dream that required a big “we” to get it done. There was no way he could do it alone, but yet he understood that it started with him.

In Nehemiah 1 and 2 – He goes only with God to propose his plan to rebuild Jerusalem to the King.

In Nehemiah 2 – He goes alone to inspect and strategize just how to rebuild the city.

In Nehemiah 3 and 4 – We find Nehemiah worked alongside the other workers and families.

In Nehemiah 5 - He asked noblemen to donate to the needy among them, but first did so himself.

Nehemiah put in his own time, his own sweat, his own money and his very life on the line for his dream and it inspired others to do the same.

Your life mission begins with you! Because, if your vision isn’t worth your own effort, sacrifice, time and energy – it isn’t worth anyone else’s either!

Ephesians 3:20 Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine according to His power that is at work within us….NIV
