RESURRECTION HAPPENS IN THE DARK

John 20:1 Early on Sunday morning, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. NLT

Mary Magdalene had, in horror, watched Jesus arrested, beaten, whipped and crucified. As she watched Him breathe His last breath and die, everything she’d hoped for died with Him. She’d seen Him laid upon a cold hard slab of stone and shut up in the tomb. Everything she’d hoped for was now shut up and shut down. EVERYTHING SHE’D LIVED FOR HAD COME TO A DEAD-END!

· But when we finally reach our ending – we reach God’s beginning.

· When we’ve come to our impossibilities – we are ready for His possibilities!

We tend to think the atmosphere for miracles is where the flowers bloom, the dawn appears and the angelic choir is singing. But as in Christ’s resurrection, it is when all hope is lost, and in the most desperate dark places - that HE breaks through with LIFE AND LIGHT!

NOTE THIS….Jesus had already answered Mary’s prayer before she left her house that gloomy morning….before she’d even braved the empty streets and that cold black tomb, Jesus had already RISEN!

HE ALREADY ANSWERED YOUR REQUEST – Even though it still feels like the night, your hope has dawned!

Isaiah 65:24 I will answer them before they even call to me. While they are still talking about their needs, I will go ahead and answer they’re prayers! NLT
